Whether you're on an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, understanding Singapore's healthcare system can save you time and money.

Polyclinics

Polyclinics are government-run clinics offering subsidised care. EP and S Pass holders can visit but may not be eligible for the highest subsidy tiers. Fees are still generally affordable.

GP Clinics

General Practitioner (GP) clinics are found in almost every neighbourhood. They handle most common illnesses. Some GP clinics are on the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) panel.

Employer Responsibilities

If you're on a Work Permit or S Pass, your employer is legally required to provide medical coverage. Know what your employer's policy covers.

Emergency Care

In a medical emergency, go to the nearest public hospital A&E. Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), and National University Hospital (NUH) all have 24-hour emergency services.
