Most of us go to Singapore Expo for one thing. A concert, a car show, a sale in one of the halls. Then we take the train home.

Next time, stay for dinner, and leave room in your bag.

Outside Hall 5, MarketPlace @ Expo runs a food park with close to 30 stalls and a live music stage. Entry is free. A short walk from Expo MRT, Changi City Point has outlet stores with discounts of up to 80%.

MarketPlace @ Expo is a partner on FIS SULIT! Rewards, so members get a S$5.80 rice bowl there. More on that below.

Food at MarketPlace @ Expo

Start with Iskina Cebu (#01-107). Cebu lechon is stuffed with lemongrass, garlic and spices before it goes on the spit, so you can skip the sarsa. The menu also has spicy lechon, liempo ala Balamban, chicken inasal and pork sisig rice.
