How to get there
Nassim Road is a quiet, leafy stretch near Orchard and the Botanic Gardens. Rail is the easy option.
Orchard (NS22) — about a 12-minute walk
Take the North-South (red) line to Orchard. Leave via Exit toward Tanglin/Botanic Gardens, walk along Orchard Boulevard onto Nassim Road. Google Maps or Citymapper will keep you on the right turns.
Napier (TE11) — the closest station
On the Thomson-East Coast (brown) line. Napier station sits on Napier Road, a short walk from Nassim Road. This is the easiest rail option now that the TEL is open.
Buses along Napier Road / Tanglin
Services 7, 105, 106, 123 and 174 run along Napier Road; 5, 36B, 143, 502 and 502A pass the Tanglin/Orchard side. Alight around Tanglin or Botanic Gardens and walk 5–10 minutes. Confirm the exact stop for your start point in Google Maps.
Drop-off at the gate
Set the destination to “Embassy of the Philippines, 20 Nassim Road.” From Orchard it is a short S$8–12 ride. Handy if you are carrying documents or travelling with family.
What you can do — by section
Two big desks handle most kababayan visits. The Consular section covers passports, civil registry and notarials. The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) covers OWWA, contract verification and worker assistance. Counter numbers are posted in the lobby on the day — ask the greeter which counter serves your transaction.

Passport renewal

Kababayan tips (shared by a reader)
- They accept PayNow, but not at every counter. Bring enough cash so you are never stuck.
- There is a photocopy machine, but it sometimes breaks. Prepare all your photocopies before you go.
- Dress code: no gym clothes or leggings. Smart-casual is safest for consular visits.
- Book your appointment online first for most consular services. Walk-ins are usually only for labor / OWWA matters.
- Arrive early. The lobby posts the counter assignments for the day — ask the greeter which counter is yours.

Decorum: how to conduct yourself
The embassy is Philippine government ground, and the staff are serving hundreds of kababayan a day. A little respect goes a long way. Dress smart-casual; gym clothes, leggings, sando and slippers can get you turned away for consular transactions. Keep your voice down, silence your phone, and no eating inside the halls. Bring your own pen. Line up in the correct queue, and if you are unsure, ask the guard or the greeter rather than cutting to a counter.
Come prepared. Have every form filled and every photocopy made before you arrive. The onsite photocopier sometimes breaks, and a missing copy can mean a second trip. Bring cash even though some counters take PayNow, because not all of them do. If you brought children, keep them close; the halls get busy.
Appointments and timing
Most consular services need an online appointment booked in advance. Walk-ins are usually only for labor and OWWA matters at the Migrant Workers Office. Arrive early for your slot. On the last Friday of the month, both consular and labor services run late until 8:30 PM, which helps if you cannot take leave on a weekday. Watch the embassy Facebook page for occasional Saturday passport drives aimed at domestic workers on their day off.
