Salamat, Fiestang Pinoy 2026: The Kababayan Who Made Suntec Feel Like Home
One hall, thousands of kababayan, and a committee that pulled it off. A thank-you to everyone who built Fiestang Pinoy 2026, and an invitation to share your photos.
The hall has emptied, the banig is rolled up, and the last balloon has come down. Fiestang Pinoy 2026 is a wrap, and it landed the way the best fiestas do: thousands of kababayan under one roof at Suntec, in barong and Cordillera red, holding a paper plate and laughing with someone they had not seen in months.

Congratulations and maraming salamat to every committee, every volunteer, every sponsor, and every kababayan who lent a hand. A day that big does not happen on its own. It happens because people gave up their off days, carried boxes, chased down permits, and stayed until the floor was swept.
A room full of people who understood without being told.
The team that carried it
Fiestang Pinoy runs on a volunteer FilCom executive committee, and this year's crew earned every bit of the applause.
Meg led as Chairperson, with Mark as Vice Chairperson steering alongside her. Abby ran PR, marketing and socmed, the reason your feed filled with fiesta reminders. Mimay headed the Programme committee that shaped the day from first act to last. Maria brought in the sponsors as head of Sponsorship, and Vilma kept the numbers straight on Finance, with Mary Ann and Teresa on Audit.
Joyce headed Food and Housekeeping, the committee that fed a hall and left it clean. Enzo ran Logistics and Safety, the quiet work that keeps thousands of people moving without a hitch. Behind them stood the wider crew, Aldrin and Jepoy on PR, Daisy Joy on Perya, Jena on Logistics and Safety, Adrian on Food, and Erick on the camera capturing all of it.

Names go only so far. For every lead there were dozens more who registered guests, manned booths, danced, sang, and carried the Rambak Cordillera colours across the hall. You know who you are, and so does the community you served.

Why it mattered
This year's theme, Istoryang OFW, put the overseas Filipino worker at the centre. That was the right call. Most of the crowd works far from home, sends money back every month, and carries stories that rarely travel past a video call. For one day, those stories had a stage, a plate of lechon, and a room full of people who understood without being told.

That is the point of a fiesta abroad. It is not the programme or the booths. It is the reminder that you are not doing this alone.
