You can stay in Singapore for as many days as your e-Pass says. Filipinos need no visa, and an ICA officer sets your number of days at the counter when you land. The e-Pass lands in your email right after immigration, and it shows your last allowed day.
Fees below are in Singapore dollars, with pesos at about ₱49 to S$1, Oct 2026.
Quick facts

Overstay over 90 days: up to 6 months' jail and at least 3 strokes of the cane, under the Immigration Act, says ICA.
Before you fly: checklist
How ICA decides your number of days
Singapore does not hand out one fixed stay to every Filipino. ICA says the grant of a visit pass "is determined by the ICA officers at the point of entry." The officer looks at your passport, your SG Arrival Card and your answers, then grants a short-term visit pass (STVP).
The pass covers a stay as a tourist, a social visit or medical treatment, per ICA. It is called an e-Pass because it arrives by email. ICA stopped stamping arrival dates in visitors' passports on 11 March 2022.
Philippine passport holders do not need a visa. ICA's list of visa-required countries and places covers 34 countries and places, from Afghanistan to Yemen, and the Philippines is not one of them (checked Oct 2026).
A visa and a visit pass are two different things. A visa lets some nationalities travel to Singapore and ask for entry. The visit pass is the permission to stay, and its length is "not tied to the validity of your entry visa," says ICA.
What the officer checks
ICA lists the general entry requirements for every traveller:
a passport with at least 6 months' validity, issued to you alone (ICA does not accept group travel documents)
a submitted SG Arrival Card
your biometrics at the counter: fingerprints, face and iris
enough cash and proof of onward travel, such as a return ticket
ICA also notes that a valid visa "does not guarantee entry." The same holds for visa-free travellers. Bring the documents above and answer the officer's questions about your trip.
Automated lanes
All foreign visitors, regardless of nationality, can use the automated lanes at Changi's passenger halls without enrolling first, says ICA. You need to be aged six or above, hold a passport valid for at least six months, and meet the entry requirements. ICA asks you to remove sunglasses, caps and face masks, and to skip coloured contact lenses.
How to check your last day in Singapore
Your e-Pass is the only record of your allowed stay, so keep it. ICA says it shows "the maximum number of day(s) of stay granted and the last day of stay allowed in Singapore."
If the e-Pass email does not arrive
ICA sends the e-Pass to the email in your SG Arrival Card. If you cannot find it:
Check your spam or junk folder.
Open ICA's e-Pass Enquiry Portal (inside the SG Arrival Card e-Service).
Key in your Disembarkation/Embarkation (DE) number, or your passport details.
Your DE number appears after you submit the SG Arrival Card. Screenshot it before you fly. You also need it to apply for an extension.
The Visit Pass validity tool
ICA's Check the End of Your Stay tool does the counting for you. Enter your arrival date and the number of days on your pass, and it shows your last allowed day.
When the pass ends
ICA says the e-Pass expires after its last day of validity, or when you depart Singapore, whichever comes first. A day trip to Johor Bahru or Batam ends that pass. When you come back, the ICA officer decides on a new pass at the counter.
What you cannot do on a visit pass
ICA says visitors on a short-term visit pass "shall not engage in any form of employment (paid or unpaid), business, profession, or occupation in Singapore" without a valid work pass from the Ministry of Manpower.
That rule covers helping out at a relative's stall, cleaning houses for cash, or a trial shift at a restaurant. A tourist trip is for visiting, sightseeing, family time and medical treatment.
If an employer in Singapore wants to hire you, the employer applies for your work pass through MOM. Never start working before that pass is approved.
How to extend your stay
Plans change. Your OFW daughter gives birth early, a parent falls sick, or a flight gets cancelled. ICA lets visitors apply to stay longer, but approval is never automatic.
Who can apply and when
When: once your pass has 14 days or less left. ICA does not take earlier applications.
Processing time: within 5 working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Some take longer.
ICA weighs each case "holistically," looking at why you need more time and whether you have immediate family members who are Singapore citizens or permanent residents. The length of any extension is up to ICA.
Do you need a local sponsor?
Filipinos need a local sponsor only in one case: when you have immediate family in Singapore who are Singapore citizens or PRs. The sponsor must be a Singapore citizen or PR aged 21 or older, with a Singpass account.
The Philippines is not on ICA's list of nationalities that always need a sponsor (as of Oct 2026). If your OFW child or sibling holds a work pass and is not a PR, ICA's sponsor rule does not apply to you.
Documents to prepare
A scan of your passport's personal particulars page
Your DE number from your SG Arrival Card
For extension due to medical treatment: Form V75, filled in and endorsed by a registered doctor in Singapore, with the illness and the stay needed
For family visits to a Singapore citizen or PR: original documents that prove the relationship, if ICA asks

ICA may ask for more documents case by case. Foreign-language papers need an approved translation, such as one from the issuing country's embassy or a notary public.

ICA lists no fee to submit an extension
ICA grants the extension only after you pay. If you miss the payment, ICA withdraws the application. Pay online by Visa or Mastercard (credit or debit), American Express or PayNow.
If ICA says no
ICA says you may apply again if your circumstances change or you have new grounds. Check your DE number, passport number and name for typos before you resubmit.
If you have no approved extension, ICA tells visitors to leave on or before the last day of the current pass.
Longer stays for OFW families
A visit pass suits a holiday or a few weeks with family. For longer stays, Singapore has the Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP). Two routes matter to most kababayans:
Parents of a Singapore citizen or PR: ICA lists parents as eligible for an LTVP. Your citizen or PR child aged 21 or older sponsors the application with Singpass. Parents-in-law are not eligible. ICA charges S$45 per application and S$60 to issue the pass (as of Oct 2026).
Parents of an Employment Pass or S Pass holder: MOM allows an LTVP for parents only when the pass holder earns a fixed monthly salary of at least S$12,000 (about ₱588,000), as of Oct 2026. The employer applies in most cases.
MOM's LTVP rules cover Employment Pass and S Pass holders. If your OFW relative holds a Work Permit, plan around the visit pass.
Overstaying: what happens
Staying past the last day on your e-Pass without a valid pass is an offence under Singapore's Immigration Act 1959, says ICA.
ICA's statements on penalties (as of Oct 2026):
Situation
Penalty ICA lists
Overstay of more than 90 days
Jail of up to 6 months and at least 3 strokes of the cane; a fine of up to S$6,000 (about ₱294,000) where caning cannot be carried out
After sentencing or paying fines
Deportation and a bar from re-entering Singapore
Coming back after removal
Jail of 1 to 3 years and a fine of up to S$6,000
ICA also prosecutes people who house overstayers. A relative found guilty of knowingly harbouring an overstayer faces 6 months to 2 years' jail and a fine of up to S$6,000, says ICA (as of Oct 2026). An overstay puts your host at risk too.
An overstay of a few days still breaks the law. ICA lists no grace period.
Three common trips, and what to do
A 5-day holiday
Book your return flight, submit the SG Arrival Card, keep your e-Pass email. Check the last day on your e-Pass when it arrives.

Three weeks with your OFW anak
Bring the return ticket and your child's address. Check your e-Pass on day one. If the officer granted fewer days than you planned, change your flight or apply for an extension once 14 days or less remain.
Helping after a birth or a hospital stay
Apply online once 14 days or less remain on your pass. For medical reasons, get Form V75 from the Singapore doctor first. Keep your original flight booking until ICA approves the extension.
