Things to Do in Singapore This October 2026: BINI, Lola Amour, Free OPM Nights and More for Kababayans
BINI at Expo, Lola Amour on F1 race day, a free Embassy agribusiness forum, OPM every Thursday and a car-free Joo Chiat. Ten October picks for Filipinos in Singapore, with dates, prices and how to get there.
October is a busy month for Filipinos in Singapore. BINI play the Arena @ EXPO on 25 October, Lola Amour play the Grand Prix on race day, the Embassy runs a free agribusiness forum, and an OPM band plays every Thursday night at Expo for free.
We picked these 10 for one reason: each has something for kababayans, whether that is a Filipino act on stage, a free entry, or a family day that fits a Sunday off. Prices, times and links are below, and the summary table comes first if you only have a minute.

One change before you plan: Tanya Markova Live in Singapore on 4 October is postponed. The organiser has not set a new date. If you bought a ticket, watch the ticket page for refund and date news.
1. Sing OPM on a Thursday night at MarketPlace @ Expo
Filipina singer Donna fronts the Good Vibes Band every Thursday from 7.30pm at MarketPlace @ Expo, outside Hall 5 at Singapore Expo. She sings OPM favourites and takes requests. Entry is free.
Iskina Cebu serves Filipino food on site, so come for dinner and stay for the second set. Expo MRT is a short walk away.
Where: 1 Expo Drive, outside Hall 5
When: Thursdays from 7.30pm
Cost: Free entry
2. Walk Joo Chiat Road without the cars, 3 October
Joo Chiat Road closes to traffic between Dunman Road and East Coast Road from 3.30pm to 9.30pm on Saturday 3 October. More than 80 local merchants move onto the street with live music, fitness classes, food, kids' crafts and a pet zone. It is part of LTA's World Car-Free Day 2026.
Entry is free. Marine Parade MRT on the Thomson-East Coast Line is the nearest station. We have the full zone guide in our Joo Chiat car-free day article.
Where: Joo Chiat Road, Dunman Road to East Coast Road
When: Sat 3 Oct, 3.30pm to 9.30pm
Cost: Free
3. See the new Singapore History Gallery, from 10 October
The National Museum of Singapore reopens its Singapore History Gallery on 10 October after a year of work, its first big refresh in 20 years. The new show covers more than 700 years of the island's story. From 10 to 18 October the museum adds an art market, meet-and-greets and workshops for its 139th birthday.
Check the price for your pass. Entry is free for Singapore citizens and PRs. Other adults pay from S$20, and children and seniors from S$10.
Where: National Museum of Singapore, 93 Stamford Road
When: From 10 Oct, 10am to 7pm daily
Cost: Free for citizens and PRs; from S$20 for other adults
4. Catch Lola Amour at the Grand Prix, 11 October
The Manila band behind "Raining in Manila" play the Singapore Grand Prix on race day. Lola Amour go on at 4.30pm on Sunday 11 October at the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre at Esplanade, inside Zone 4 of the circuit park. They are the only Filipino act on the Grand Prix bill.
You need a Grand Prix ticket that covers Zone 4. Check your zone before you go, because roads around Marina Bay close for days and bag checks run long. Our Lola Amour race-day guide has the details.
Where: Esplanade Outdoor Theatre, Zone 4
When: Sun 11 Oct, 4.30pm to 5.15pm
Cost: Grand Prix ticket with Zone 4 access
5. See the Deepavali lights on Serangoon Road
Deepavali falls on Saturday 7 November this year, and Little India strings arches of light along Serangoon Road for weeks around it. A free evening walk under the lights costs nothing and makes good photos for the family group chat.
The People's Association lists a guided Deepavali Light-Up Tour on Saturday 17 October, with lights viewing on Serangoon Road at 7.30pm. Little India MRT puts you right there.

Universal Studios Singapore runs Halloween Horror Nights 14 on 18 select nights until 1 November, from 7.30pm to 12.30am. There are four haunted houses and two scare zones. The local one is Karang Guni: The Cursed Collection, built around the rag-and-bone man's haunted haul.
Early bird tickets start from S$58 on non-peak nights and S$68 on peak nights. October non-peak nights are 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 15 and 16 October.

8. Plan a business back home at Usapang Agribiz, 25 October
The Philippine Embassy and OWWA Singapore run a full-day forum on agribusiness and enterprise opportunities back home. The 2025 edition drew more than 100 OFWs. If you have been saving toward a farm or a small business in the province, this is the free version of the advice.
9. Join the Blooms at BINI's Signals World Tour, 25 October
BINI bring their Signals World Tour to Singapore on Sunday 25 October, fresh from their Coachella set this year. The show starts at 5pm at the Arena @ EXPO.
Tickets run from S$108 for Silver to S$228 for Diamond on Ticketmaster Singapore. Same-day tip: the Usapang Agribiz forum ends at 4pm across town, so if you want both, leave Tanglin by 3pm. See our BINI game plan for getting in and out of Expo.
Where: Arena @ EXPO, 9 Somapah Road
When: Sun 25 Oct, 5pm
Cost: From S$108
10. Sort out Undas before the month ends
All Saints' Day falls on Sunday 1 November and All Souls' Day on Monday 2 November. If you plan to fly home for Undas or send money for the family's visit to the cemetery, book and send in October rather than the week itself.
If you cannot go home, check your parish bulletin in the last week of October for All Souls' Day masses in Singapore.
Before you go
Check your pass for museum prices. Free entry at the National Museum applies to citizens and PRs only.
Use the MRT for the big days. Expo MRT for BINI and Donna, Esplanade or City Hall for the Grand Prix, Marine Parade for Joo Chiat.
Sunday off? BINI and Usapang Agribiz both land on Sunday 25 October. Everything else on this list runs on a Saturday or a weeknight, so ask early if you need to swap a rest day.
For the full list, including smaller community events we add every week, see the FIS events calendar.
