New Filipino domestic helpers in Singapore start at S$650 a month in 2026, about ₱32,455 at the 27 October exchange rate.
That S$650 is the Philippine government's floor for Filipino household workers abroad: US$500, which the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Singapore sets at S$650.
Singapore itself has no minimum wage for helpers. The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) only says pay cannot drop below what the employer declared.
Who the S$650 covers
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) raised the floor from US$400 to US$500 under Advisory No. 25, Series of 2025.
MWO Singapore says it applies to new contracts processed on or after 21 October 2025, and to renewed contracts of vacationing or returning workers.
The DMW has called the US$500 voluntary for now. Its Secretary, Hans Leo Cacdac, said in September 2025 that the DMW would "not penalize" employers who pay less, and would fast-track those who comply.
MWO Singapore's employer checklist still reads: pay at least S$650 a month.

Rest-day pay
Every helper gets one rest day a week, MOM says, and at least one rest day a month that cannot be swapped for cash.
A rest day worked earns one day's pay on top of salary: monthly salary divided by 26. On S$650, that is S$25 a day.
What employers pay on top
Levy: S$300 a month for the first helper, S$450 for each one after, or S$60 if the household qualifies for the concession.
Medical insurance with at least S$60,000 a year in cover, plus personal accident cover of S$60,000.
A S$5,000 security bond.

Getting paid
MOM requires salary within seven days after each month ends. Cash payments need a record that both of you sign.
Employers cannot keep a helper's salary or bank card, even if she asks. Full pay also means no deductions for medical costs, repatriation or training.
