The 2026 Simbang Gabi schedule is out: 17 churches across Singapore, nine nights from Tuesday 15 to Wednesday 23 December, every Mass at 8pm.

Blessed Sacrament, St Francis of Assisi and Divine Mercy hold all nine nights. The other 14 churches host one or two nights each.

This year's theme is "Welcoming the Incarnate Word: Upholding Human Dignity in a Digital World". Each night carries its own reflection, from "The Word Made Flesh, Not Code" on the first night to "Light in the Darkness" for the Misa de Gallo on 23 December.

What changed from 2025

Last year 19 churches took part. Our Lady of Lourdes, Sacred Heart, St Vincent de Paul and the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd are not on the 2026 list.

St Francis of Assisi in Boon Lay joins for all nine nights, which gives kababayans in the west a church every night. Nativity Church in Hougang hosts the last night.

How it works here

Back home, the nine Masses run at dawn from 16 to 24 December. In Singapore, parishes hold them as evening Masses the night before, CatholicNews reported.

The Gloria is sung, and the priest may wear white instead of Advent purple, under a 1953 permission from the Vatican.

Tagalog or English

The 2026 poster does not list languages. Last year, Novena Church and St Ignatius held their Masses in Tagalog. Our Lady of Perpetual Succour used English, and Divine Mercy used English with some Tagalog songs.

Check each parish's own poster closer to the date.

Before you go

  • Come early. Seats cannot be reserved.
  • Some churches sing Christmas carols before the Mass. Last year, a few started at 7pm with the rosary.
  • The Saturday 19 December Mass counts as your Sunday Mass. The Sunday 20 December Mass stays a regular Sunday Mass, because Sunday takes priority.

In 2023, the Archdiocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People (ACMI) gave out 7,500 bento dinners across 11 parishes over the nine nights. Nobody has announced food for 2026 yet.

For Tagalog Masses the rest of the year, see our Tagalog Mass schedule by church.
