Philippine Country Fair 2026: Ten Government Agencies, Two Nights of OPM, and Aircon
OWWA, SSS, Pag-IBIG, LTO and six more agencies are setting up desks at *SCAPE on 12 and 13 September. Here is what to bring and what you get out of going.
Sampung ahensya ng gobyerno, isang bubong, at aircon. Iyan ang maikling bersyon.
The Philippine Country Fair 2026 runs on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September at Playspace @ SCAPE on Orchard Road, and the organiser has now released the official event advisory. If you are deciding whether a weekend is worth giving up, this is what you get for showing up.
Ten government agencies, one room, no flight home
The OWWA Caravan is the strongest reason on the list. Ten Philippine government agencies are sending desks to *SCAPE:
OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration)
DMW-NRCO (National Reintegration Center for OFWs)
MWO Singapore (Migrant Workers Office)
SSS (Social Security System)
Pag-IBIG Fund
LTO (Land Transportation Office)
DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development)
TESDA
PAO (Public Attorney's Office)
LandBank of the Philippines
Think about what that saves you. An SSS query, a Pag-IBIG account you have not touched in years, a licence question for LTO, a TESDA course you have been meaning to ask about. Each one on its own is a phone call that never connects or a favour asked of a sibling back home. Here they are at desks on Orchard Road, and you can walk between them in an afternoon.
Bring your documents. The advisory asks guests who plan to transact to carry valid identification, government-issued IDs, supporting documents, and any account or membership numbers the agency will ask for. Turning up with nothing means turning up twice.
One honest caveat, straight from the advisory: each agency sets its own service availability, requirements, eligibility and processing. The organiser does not decide or guarantee what any agency approves. Treat the caravan as access, not as a guaranteed outcome.
The whole thing is air-conditioned
September in Singapore does what September in Singapore does. The Fair sits inside an enclosed, climate-controlled tent, and every sponsor booth, exhibitor, government desk and food stall sits inside it. The main stage too.
That one detail decides a lot for anyone bringing lolo, a toddler, or both.
Work, business and the going-home question
The floor splits into areas worth walking:
Jobs & Opportunities for anyone watching their contract clock
Business & Franchise for the kababayan who has been saving toward something back home
Travel and Philippine tourism
Community services
Sponsors and exhibitors
You are not committing to anything by asking. Talk to three booths, take the brochures, go home and think about it.
Two nights of Filipino entertainment
Saturday 12 September is Sabado Night: a band showdown, Zumba with SB Izzy, Filipino food, and a Meet & Greet with the Elias J.TV Band and Donekla Duo from 5PM. The lineup leans on Singapore-based Filipino talent, which is the point of it.
Sunday 13 September is the Fair proper, with a fashion show and a 90s dance set with Wowie and Donnalyn. It closes with the Elias J.TV Band & Donekla Comedy Duo: SG Invasion concert from 3PM onwards.
Entry to the fair floor is free and the Sunday concert is ticketed, per the Philippine Embassy community newsletter. Concert proceeds go toward livelihood, education and cultural preservation programmes for an indigenous tribe in Pampanga.
Getting there without the stress
*SCAPE sits at 2 Orchard Link, Singapore 237978, a walk from Somerset MRT on the North-South Line. Dhoby Ghaut works too, on the North-South, North-East and Circle Lines.
Take the train. The organiser is asking guests to use public transport, above all on Sunday when the fair and the concert draw the biggest crowd. Parking around Orchard is limited, priced by whichever car park you land in, and no help to you at 2PM on a Sunday. If you drive anyway, leave earlier than you think you need to.
What the organiser has put in place
Worth knowing if you are bringing family:
Medical volunteers on site, including a licensed nurse on standby, with a first-aid point outside the venue
Security personnel and event marshals across the venue, handling entry and exit, crowd movement, lost and found, and incidents
Public liability insurance covering the event
Marked emergency exits and evacuation routes
Parents, keep children in sight. If a child gets separated from you, go to the nearest security officer, event marshal, registration counter or the Event Operations Team.
Two more things. Keep your phone, wallet and bag on you, since crowds attract the usual. And note that photography, videography and media coverage run through both days, so you may show up in official photos, livestreams or promotional material.

Bring your IDs, bring the kids, and give yourself more than an hour. See the rest of the month in our full September lineup, or check the FIS events calendar for what is on after this.
