Most of what we built started as a question someone asked in the group chat.
How much peso will I get if I send today? What can I bring on Cebu Pacific without paying extra? My employer asked me to work Sunday, how much is that worth? When is the next long weekend?
Every one of those has an answer. The problem is that the answer is buried in a bank page, an airline table, a MOM circular, or a holiday list nobody wants to read on a phone during a lunch break. So we built small tools that do the reading for you.
There are ten now. All free, all on your phone, none of them ask you to sign up. Here is what each one does and when you would actually open it.
Money
Exchange Rates shows live SGD to PHP rates side by side, so you can see what your padala is worth before you decide where to send it. The gap between the best and worst counter on the same afternoon is often more than the transfer fee itself. Check it before you queue at Lucky Plaza, not after.
Work
Helper Rest-Day Pay works out what your employer owes you when you work on a rest day or a public holiday. It follows the MOM formula, so you are not guessing and neither is your employer. Enter your monthly salary, pick the day, and it shows the number.
Leave Planner lines up your annual leave against Singapore public holidays and shows which days to file to get the longest break. Some years, four leave days buy you nine days off. It depends entirely on where the holidays fall, which is exactly the kind of thing a calculator is better at than you are at 11pm.
Going home, and going away
Luggage Allowance compares hand-carry and checked baggage across Cebu Pacific, Scoot, PAL, Singapore Airlines and AirAsia. Excess baggage at the counter is the most avoidable expense in the whole trip, and it always happens to someone in the family.
JB Day-Out Cost adds up a Johor Bahru day trip in both Singapore dollars and ringgit: transport, food, massage, mani-pedi. The fares are the real Causeway Link ones, checked against the board at Queen Street.
Batam Day-Out Cost does the same for Batam, including the ferry and the terminal fees people forget until they are already at HarbourFront.
Everyday
Filipino Map is a growing directory of Filipino restaurants, groceries and services around the island. Useful when you are somewhere unfamiliar and want kabayan food without a group-chat poll.
Kopi Calculator decodes the kopitiam order. Kopi O, Kopi C, Siew Dai, Kosong, Gau, Peng, Da Bao. Build the drink you want and it gives you the phrase to say at the stall.
Events Calendar collects concerts, OPM shows, embassy consular outreach and community gatherings in one place, so you stop finding out about the good ones a week late.
Cycle Tracker is a period and fertility calendar that stays on your phone. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is on our servers, and you can lock it behind a PIN. For anyone living in, that last part matters.
Why we built them instead of writing more articles
An article tells you the rule. A tool gives you your number.
We could write a guide on rest-day pay and plenty of people would read it, nod, and still not know what they are owed, because the answer depends on their salary. The calculator skips that step. Same with baggage, same with leave, same with the JB trip you are planning for next month.
They also cost nothing to run and nothing to use. There is no account, no email, no upsell. A few of them work offline once the page has loaded.
